What is Interim Management
Interim Management means bringing an experienced executive into a key leadership position for a defined period of time – without a lengthy recruitment process and fully operational from day one.
In procurement, interim executives are typically engaged to address sudden leadership vacancies, acute supply shortages, major transformation initiatives such as SAP or Ariba implementations, or situations arising in the context of a private equity acquisition.
Compared to a permanent hire, the key advantages are speed, flexibility, a clearly defined mandate, and full operational impact from day one – with a strong focus on execution, results, and business priorities rather than internal politics.
